(TEMPORARY PROHIBITIONS) ORDER 2026 (R26-087)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at West Bridgford & Warsop in the Borough of Rushcliffe & District of Mansfield The effects of the Order will be:
1. No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road:
(a) Fox Road, West Bridgford - between its junction with A6520 Radcliffe Road and Hound Road.
(b) Hound Road - between its junctions with Fox Road and Bridgford Road.
2. No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed in any direction other than that specified in the following lengths of road:
(c) Fox Road - between its junction with A6520 Radcliffe Road and Hound Road - travel only from north (A6520 Radcliffe Road) to south-east (Hound Road).
(d) Hound Road - between its junctions with Fox Road and Bridgford Road - travel only from north (Fox Road) to south-west (Bridgford Road).
3. Vehicles will be prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading (at any time) in the following lengths of road:
a) A6520 Radcliffe Road - (north side) from its junction with Pavilion Road to its junction with Colwick Road.
b) A6520 Radcliffe Road - (south side) from its junction with A60 Loughborough Road to its junction with Fox Road.
c) Fox Road - (both sides) from its junction with A6520 Radcliffe Road to its junction with Hound Road.
d) Hound Road - (both sides) from its junction with Fox Road to its junction with Bridgford Road.
e) Bridgford Road - (both sides) from its junction with A60 Loughborough Road to its junction with Hound Road.
f) Bridgford Road - (both sides) from its junction with Hound Road to its junction with Millicent Road
g) Bridgford Road - (both sides) from its junction with Millicent Road to its junction with Stratford Road.
h) Musters Road - (east side) from its junction with Bridgford Road to its junction with Millicent Road
i) Musters Road - (west, side) from its junction with Bridgford Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 53 metres)
j) Sookholme Road, Warsop - From its junction with Mansfield Road, Spion Kop in a north westerly direction for 800 metres.
4. Vehicles must only turn left from the first mentioned road to the second mentioned road: Pavilion Road - left turn only into A6520 Radcliffe Road.
5. No person shall cause any vehicle to perform a U-turn manoeuvre in the following length of road: A6520 Radcliffe Road - between its junctions with A60 Loughborough Road and Fox Road/Colwick Road
6. No person shall cause any vehicle to perform a turn right from the following length of road: A6520 Radcliffe Road - no right turn from A6250 Radcliffe Road into Pavilion Road
7. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
8. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 22nd May 2026 for the duration of the 2026 cricket season
The Order will come into force on 22nd May 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable the safe movement of vehicles and people on the occasions of cricket matches being held at Trent Bridge Cricket Ground and directly associated activities.
