(NETHERTON DRIVE, BARRHEAD) TEMPORARY RESTRICTION TO USE OF ROAD ORDER 2026

On the 5th May 2026 The East Renfrewshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order authorises:

  1. the prohibition of parking on a section of Netherton Drive, Barrhead – between property number 5 and 13 (both sides),
  2. the restriction of vehicular access between its junctions with Blackburn Square and Balgray Crescent.

The Order has been promoted in order to facilitate the safe operation of Scottish Power utility works on or near the road, scheduled to be carried out from 08:00 on Monday 15th June to 17:00 on Friday 26th June 2026.

The parking prohibition will be applied to sections of the roads as and when required relative to the progress of the works and will apply to all vehicles with the exception of those associated with the works and emergency vehicles attending an incident.

The Order authorises the closure of the road for the duration of the works.

Vehicular access to properties within the extents of the closure may be permitted by the contractor on site only when it is possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time. Access for emergency vehicles attending an incident will be maintained at all times.

Alternative route: Blackburn Square – Patte rton Drive – Aurs Drive – Netherton Drive and vice versa.
