A752 GARTCOSH ROAD, BARGEDDIE (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
On 4 May 2026 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on signalling improvements) on the undernoted locations.
Phase 1
A752 Gartcosh Road, Bargeddie (northbound) from A89 Coatbridge Road to Manse Road
Alternative routes: via A89 Coatbridge Road, A89 Glasgow Road, A89 Bank Street, Blair Road, Townhead Road, A752 Gartcosh Road, A752 Cuilhill Road and A752 Gartcosh Road. Vehicles above 15’3” height will be escorted through work zone when safe to do so. Pedestrian and vehicular access will be maintained, where practicable, during the closure. Local access will be maintained to Lochside Manor Care Home when practical.
Phase 2
A752 Gartcosh Road, Bargeddie (southbound) from Manse Road to A89 Coatbridge Road Alternative routes: via A752 Gartcosh Road, A752 Cuilhill Road, A752 Gartcosh Road, Townhead Road, Blair Road, A89 Bank Street, A89 Glasgow Road and A89 Coatbridge Road. Vehicles above 15’3” height will be escorted through work zone when safe to do so.
Pedestrian and vehicular access will be maintained, where practicable, during the closure. Local access will be maintained to Lochside Manor Care Home when practical.
The Order, which will be completed in phases, will come into operation at 0001 hours on Monday, 18 May 2026 and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on Tuesday, 30 June 2026.
