TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC000 149865318 : The City of Manchester (Oxford Road, Hulme Ward)(Temporary Closure of Cycle Lane) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to. prohibit any pedal cycle (and any pedestrian) from proceeding at any time in the following length of cycle lane: Oxford Road, from 117 Oxford Road to 129 Grosvenor Street. The City Council is satisfied that this closure is necessary in order to facilitate Sewer Maintenance. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 21st May 2026 to 22nd May 2026 between the hours of 19:00 and 04:00 The order shall come into operation on 21st May 2026and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. 11th May 2026.
ORDER NO. MCC 149779955 : The City of Manchester (Chapelfield Rd, River St & Rachel St, Piccadilly Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Chapelfield Road from Hoyle St to River St, on River St from Chapelfield Rd to Rachel St & on Rachel St from River St to Hoyle St. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate Mayfield development works.
It is expected that the works will be in progress from 25th May 2026 to 24th November 2027. The order shall come into operation on 25th May 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
