TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990, SECTION 257 AND PARAGRAPH 1 OF SCHEDULE 14

WEALDEN DISTRICT COUNCIL

WEALDEN DISTRICT (HAILSHAM 41A (PART))

PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2026

The above Order was made on 27th April 2026. The effect of the Order will be to divert part of the public footpath known as Hailsham 41A running from point A (approximately 200 metres from Mill Road in an easterly direction for approximately 78 metres to point B on the attached map and shown thereon as a bold black line, as shown on the order map. A copy of the Order and the Order map may be seen at Wealden District Council Offices, Vicarage Lane, Hailsham, East Sussex free of charge between 8.30am and 5.00pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive. Copies of the Order and map may be obtained free of charge from the Planning Enforcement Team, Wealden District Council, Vicarage Lane, Hailsham, East Sussex, BN27 2AX.

Any representation about or objection to the Order may be sent or delivered in writing addressed to the Planning Enforcement Team Leader, Wealden District Council, Vicarage Lane, Hailsham, East Sussex, BN27 2AX not later than 5th June 2026. Please state the grounds on which it is made.

The Order shall have effect on the date on which Wealden District Council certify that the terms of paragraph 2 have been complied. However, if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it, has not been complied with in the relation to the confirmation of the Order, he or she may apply to the High Court under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, within 6 weeks from 8 May 2026, which is the date in which the notice is first published.
