KIRKLEES COUNCIL - ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14

(SPRINGWOOD ROAD, THONGSBRIDGE, HOLMFIRTH) 
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Springwood Road, Thongsbridge from a point outside property no. 46 to a point outside property no. 44 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Springwood Road, New Mill Road, Heys Road, Miry Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence at 00:00 hours on Tuesday, 26 May 2026 and remain in force until 23:59 hours on 30 May 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(TAYLOR LANE, SCAPEGOAT HILL, HUDDERSFIELD) 
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Taylor Lane, Scapegoat Hill, Huddersfield from a point outside property no. 48 to a point outside property no. 52 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Taylor Lane, Pike Law Lane, Slaithwaite Gate, High Street and vice versa. 

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday, 27 May 2026 and remain in force until 27 May 2026 between 08:00 hours and 17:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(HOLLIN HOUSE LANE, CLAYTON WEST, HUDDERSFIELD) 
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Hollin House Lane, Clayton West from a point approximately 65 metres west of entrance to Hollins House Farm to a point approximately 230 metres west of Hollins House Farm PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Hollin House Lane, Wheatley Hill Lane, Upper Common Lane, Bank End Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on Friday, 29 May 2026 between 09:30 hours to 15:30 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(PLANE STREET, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Plane Street, Huddersfield from its junction with Malvern Drive to its termination point PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

There is no alternative diversionary route available.

Access maintained for emergency service vehicles only.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 25 May 2026 and remain in force until 24 July 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(BRIDGE LANE, HOLMFIRTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Bridge Lane, Holmfirth from its junction with Station Road to its junction with Summervale PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Bridge Lane, Huddersfield Road, Victoria Street, Town Gate, Station Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 11 May 2026 and remain in force until 15 May 2026 between 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(WINNEY BANK LANE, HOLMFIRTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 2) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that short length of Winney Bank Lane, Holmfirth at a point outside Winney Bank Farm PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Winney Bank Lane, Wooldale Cliff Road, Cliff Road, Town End Road, Wooldale Road, Fearnley Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 11 May 2026 and remain in force until 15 May 2026 between 08:00 hours and 17:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(BURNT PLATTS LANE, SLAITHWAITE, HUDDERSFIELD) 
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Burnt Platts Lane, Slaithwaite from its junction with Laund Road to a point outside Denby House Cartgate Foot Farm PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. 

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Laund Road, New Hey Road, Burnt Platts Lane Track, Burnt Platts Lane and vice versa. 

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 11 May 2026 and remain in force until 12 May 2026 between 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(UPPER HOUSE ROAD/NEW GATE, HADE EDGE, HOLMFIRTH) 
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Upper House Road and New Gate, Hade Edge from its junction with New Gate “Little Cake” to a point outside Upper House Farm PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of New Gate, Penistone Road, Strines Moor Road, Upper House Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 11 May 2026 and remain in force until 15 May 2026 between 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(SOUTH LANE, HOLMFIRTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of South Lane, Holmfirth from its junction with Back Lane to a point opposite Studio South Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of South Lane, Dunford Road, Town Gate, Station Road, New Mill Road, Holmfirth Road, Sheffield Road, Scholes Road, Hill Street, Park Side, St George’s Road, Paris Road, Sandy Gate, Cinder Hills Road.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday, 12 May 2026 and remain in force until 13 May 2026 between 08:00 hours to 17:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(THIRSTIN ROAD/OLD MOLL ROAD, HONLEY, HOLMFIRTH) 
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Thirstin Road/Old Moll Road, Honley from its junction with Green Cliff to a point outside property no. 4 Thirstin Road and approximately 150 metres on Old Moll Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Thirstin Road, Green Cliff, Church Street, Westgate.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday, 13 May 2026 and remain in force until 14 May 2026 between 09:00 hours to 17:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(HALSTEAD LANE, THURSTONLAND, HUDDERSFIELD) 
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Halstead Lane, Thurstonland from its junction with Haw Cliff Lane to a point outside property no. 144 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Halstead Lane, Hill Top Bank, Cold Hill Lane, Huddersfield Road, New Mill Road, Thurstonland Bank Road, The Village, Haw Cliff Lane.

It is intended that the closure will operate on Friday, 15 May 2026 between 09:00 hours to 17:00 hours (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(HALLAS ROAD, KIRKBURTON, HUDDERSFIELD) 
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Hallas Road, Kirkburton from its junction with North Road to a point adjacent access to Nos. 11-23 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via North Road, Turnshaw Road, Turnshaws Avenue, Burton Acres Lane, Hallas Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 11 May 2026 and remain in force until 13 May 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
