Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SWALE AREA
Blacketts Road, Tonge, ME9 9AU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2026
To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Blacketts Road, Tonge from 20th May 2026, with estimated completion by 30th May 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction with Church Road and outside Blacketts Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Church Road, Tonge, ME9 9AX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2026
To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Church Road, Tonge from 1st June 2026, with estimated completion by 12th June 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction with Scraps Hill and Tonge Corner Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Drake Avenue, Minster-on-sea, ME12 3SN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2026
To allow heavy jetting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Drake Avenue, Minster-on-sea from 4th June 2026 for up to one day, between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Scocles Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Drake Avenue, Elm Lane, Nelson Avenue, Scocles Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Dully Road, Tonge, ME9 9NU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2026
To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Dully Road, Tonge from 18th May 2026, with estimated completion by 20th May 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction with A2 London Road and outside Haywards Farm Cottages, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A2 London Road, Lynsted Lane, The Street, Christophers Row, Kingsdown Road, Dully Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Dunkirk Road South, Boughton Under Blean. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2026
To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Dunkirk Road South, Boughton Under Blean from 2nd June 2026 with estimated completion by 4th June 2026, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with Snake Lane and South Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via South Street, Snake Lane and Dunkirk Road South.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Eastling Road, Painters Forstal. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & TEMPORARY 20 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2026
To allow the Surface Preservation Scheme to take place, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Eastling Road, Painters Forstal on or after 1st June 2026 for up to 18 months. It may be necessary for the road to be closed on multiple occasions for each phase of the works. Planned dates will be published in advance of the works on One.Network and indicated by signage displayed on site 14 days before they start.
After the Surface Treatment works are complete, temporary speed restrictions of 20 mph may be imposed for a period of up to 7 days, these will be clearly indicated by relevant signs displayed on site.
These works are subject to weather conditions and other factors which may potentially cause changes at short notice. Every effort will be made to keep as close as possible to the planned dates and any changes will be publicised.
The road will be closed between the junctions with Painters Forstal Road and Stalisfield Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Painters Forstal Road, Water Lane, A2 Ospringe Street, London Road, Brogdale Road, Whitehill and vice versa.
Fox Lane, Boughton Under Blean, ME13 9PQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2026
To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Fox Lane, Boughton Under Blean from 18th May 2026 with estimated completion by 19th May 2026, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Oversland House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via South Street, Hickmans Green, Colonels Lane, The Street, Stockers Hill, Canterbury Road, A2 Boughton Bypass, Brenley Roundabout, London Road, Canterbury Road, Selling Road, Fox Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Harty Ferry Road, Leysdown. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2026
To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Harty Ferry Road, Leysdown from 1st June 2026 for up to one day, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed approximately 90m west from the burial ground, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Kingsdown Road, Lynsted. (TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2026
To allow removal and repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to impose a temporary mandatory 30 mph speed restriction on part of Kingsdown Road, Lynsted, from 21st May 2026, with estimated completion by 3rd June 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The temporary 30 mph speed restriction on Kingsdown Road will be imposed 50m either side of The Foxhunters, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Lewson Street Road, Norton, ME9 9JT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2026
To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Lewson Street Road, Norton from 19th May 2026 with estimated completion by 20th May 2026, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Cedar House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Norton Lane, A2 London Road, Lewson Street Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Lower Road, Buckland. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2026
To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Lower Road, Buckland from 3rd June 2026 with estimated completion by 4th June 2026, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Bennetts Gardens heading approximately 80m west from Stone Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Crescent, Station Road, A2 London Road, B2045 Western Link, Bysing Wood Road, Luddenham Hill, Bysing Wood Road, Lower Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Lower Road, Tonge, ME9 9BN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2026
To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Lower Road, Tonge from 19th May 2026, with estimated completion by 23rd May 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction with Scraps Hill and Orchard Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hempstead Lane, A2 London Road, Station Road, Lower Road and vice versa.

Monkshill Road, Hernhill, ME13 9EH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2026
To allow carriageway reinstatement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Monkshill Road, Hernhill from 20th May 2026, with estimated completion by 21st May 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Monkshill Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Seasalter Road, Head Hill Road, Head Hill, Whitstable Road, A299 Thanet Way and High Street Road.

Station Road, Teynham, ME9 9TF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2026
To allow new service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Station Road, Teynham from 18th May 2026, with estimated completion by 26th May 2026, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 98, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bradfield Avenue, Station Road and vice versa.
