Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SEVENOAKS AREA
A25 Westerham Road, Bessels Green, TN13 2QB (PROHIBITION OF WESTBOUND TRAFFIC) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of NATIONAL HIGHWAYS LIMITED works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit westbound traffic on part of A25 Westerham Road, Bessels Green, on or after 18th May 2026 until 31st August 2026 or until the works have been completed.
A25 Westerham Road will be closed to WESTBOUND traffic over the A21.
Monday 18th May to Friday 22nd May 2026 between 20:00 hrs and 06:00 hrs only.
Friday 29th May 2026 at 20:00 hrs until Monday 1st June 2026 at 06:00. Continuous 24/7 weekend closure.
Friday 5th June until Monday 8th June 2026 - 20:00 - 06:00. Continuous 24/7 weekend closure.
Friday 12th June at 20:00 until Monday 15th June at 06:00. Continuous 24/7 weekend closure.
Friday 19th June at 20:00 until Monday 22nd June at 06:00. Continuous 24/7 weekend closure.
Friday 26th to Monday 29th June 2026 between 20:00 hrs and 06:00 hrs only.
Friday 7th August at 20:00 until Monday 10th August at 06:00. Continuous 24/7 weekend closure.
Friday 14th August at 20:00 until Monday 17th August at 06:00. Continuous 24/7 weekend closure.
Friday 21st August at 20:00 until Monday 24th August at 06:00. Continuous 24/7 weekend closure.
Friday 28th August at 20:00 until Monday 31st August at 06:00, this is a contingency date. Continuous 24/7 weekend closure.
The continuous weekend closures will be commencing at 20:00 hrs and staying in place for the extent of the weekend, then removed by 06:00 hrs.
The alternative route for any through traffic is the A21 Southbound to Morleys Roundabout and return.
A224 London Road, Sevenoaks, TN13 9LE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of a new electricity supply for a customer, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A224 London Road, Sevenoaks, on or after 1st June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between numbers 42 and 43.
The alternative route is via A224 London Road, Pembroke Road, A225 High Street and vice versa.
A233 Westerham Hill, Westerham, TN16 2ED (TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of a new electricity supply for a customer, Kent County Council intends to make an Order for a temporary mandatory speed limit of 30mph to be imposed on a section of A233 Westerham Hill, Westerham, on or after 1st June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The 30mph speed limit applies in both directions on A233 Westerham Hill, Westerham, between Westerham Heights and Tatsfield Lane.
Buckhurst Avenue & Suffolk Way, Sevenoaks TN13 1LX (PROHIBITION OF LEFT & RIGHT TURNS) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow a new connection to a water main to be carried out on part of Buckhurst Lane, adjacent to the junction with Suffolk Way, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit left and right hand turns.
Works are planned from 18th May 2026, with estimated completion by 22nd May 2026.
The left hand turn from Buckhurst Avenue into Buckhurst Lane will be prohibited and the right hand turn from Suffolk Way into Buckhurst Lane will be prohibited.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via the car park entrance and exit.
Charcott, Leigh, TN11 8LG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of SOUTH EAST WATER LIMITED works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Charcott, Leigh, on or after 18th May 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 12 Old Orchard.
The alternative route is via Charcott, Camp Hill and vice versa.
Greenfields, Hodsoll Street, TN15 7LE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of SOUTH EAST WATER LIMITED works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Greenfields, Hodsoll Street, on or after 18th May 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside The Green Man.
There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.
High Street, Otford, TN14 5PG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Otford, on or after 1st June 2026 for up to 2 nights between 19.00hrs and 06.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 49A.
The alternative route is via A225 Sevenoaks/Otford Road, A25 Bradbourne Vale Road/Maidstone Road, A224 London Road, Pilgrims Way West and vice versa.
Otford Lane, Halstead, TN14 7EF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of a new water connection, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Otford Lane, Halstead, on or after 6th June 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Fig Tree Cottage.
The alternative route is via Otford Lane, Shoreham Road, Shoreham Lane, Badgers Mount Roundabout, A224 London Road, A224 Polhill and vice versa.
Rays Hill, Horton Kirby, DA4 9DB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Thames Water Utilities works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Rays Hill, Horton Kirby, on or after 1st June 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of Lombard Street.
The alternative route is via Eglantine Lane - A20 London Road - A225 Dartford Road - Station Road - Horton Road - The Street and vice versa.
Uckfield Lane, Hever, TN8 5NT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Uckfield Lane, Hever, on or after 5th June 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Oak Tree House.
The alternative route is via Uckfield Lane, Buckhurst, Cowden Pound Road, B2026 Stick Hill, B2026 Hartfield Road, B2026 Mill Hill, Hever Road and vice versa.
