Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

MAIDSTONE AREA

A20 London Road, Allington (CYCLE LANE SUSPENSION & BUS LANE SUSPENSION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow remedial works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily suspend the cycle lane and bus lane on part of A20 London Road, Allington, on or after 1st June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The cycle lane and bus lane will be temporarily suspended between the junction of Allington Way to opposite 347 London Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.



Church Road, Harrietsham, ME17 1AW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow railway bridge repairs to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Road, Harrietsham, on or after 24th May 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the railway bridge, between the hours of 06:00 and 23:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Church Road, A20 Ashford Road, Church Lane, Marley Road, Church Road and vice versa.



Church Road, Grafty Green, ME17 2AN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow drainage repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Road, Grafty Green, on or after 1st June 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Woodcock Lane and Footpath KH478 junctions. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Woodcock Lane, Coldbridge Lane, Egerton House Road, Coach Road, Sandway, Church Road and vice versa.



Crumps Lane, Grafty Green, ME17 2EF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow fire hydrant cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Crumps Lane, Grafty Green, on or after 1st June 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 7 Boughton Park, Crumps Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lenham Road, Kings Road, A274 Mill Bank, A274 Maidstone Road, East Sutton Road, Stickfast Lane, Crumps Lane and vice versa.



Flint Lane, Lenham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Flint Lane, Lenham, on or after 3rd June 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of The White Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Flint Lane, Pilgrims Way, A20 Ashford Road, Faversham Road, West Street, Flint Lane and vice versa.



Forsham Lane, Sutton Valence (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Forsham Lane, Sutton Valence, on or after 21st May 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed approximately 120 metres North from Ashurst Barn. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Forsham Lane, A274 Headcorn Road, New Barn Road, Babylon Lane, Forsham Lane and vice versa.



Giddyhorn Lane, Maidstone, ME16 0UN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow cable and ducting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Giddyhorn Lane, Maidstone, on or after 18th May 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from outside property number 29 to outside property number 32. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.



Grave Lane, Staplehurst (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Grave Lane, Staplehurst, on or after 5th June 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed approximately 130 metres and approximately 70 metres Southeast of Newhaven Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Grave Lane, Clapper Lane, A229 Maidstone Road, A229 Staplehurst Road, Summerhill Road and vice versa.



Green Lane, Sutton Valence (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Green Lane, Sutton Valence, on or after 4th June 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed approximately 200 metres West of Little Oakhurst, approximately 140 metres West of Lake Farmhouse and approximately 150 metres North from Lake Farmhouse. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Green Lane, Forsham Lane, A274 Headcorn Road, A274 Sutton Valence Hill, Chart Road, Chart Hill Road and vice versa.



Hawkenbury Road, Hawkenbury (30 MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of accident damage to Hawkenbury bridge, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily impose a 30 MPH speed limit on through traffic on part of Hawkenbury Road, Hawkenbury, on or after 18th May 2026 for up to 106 days.

The road will have a 30 MPH speed limit temporarily imposed from 185 metres North of Hawkenbury bridge to 185 metres South of Hawkenbury bridge and vice versa. To the extent indicated by signs on site.



Heniker Lane, Sutton Valence, ME17 3EB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Heniker Lane, Sutton Valence, on or after 21st May 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the bottom of Sutton Cottage Drive, for a distance approximately 8 metres in a South direction. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Heniker Lane, Friday Street, East Sutton Road, Boyton Court Road, Heniker Lane and vice versa.



Little Buckland Avenue, Maidstone, ME16 0LY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow underground cable repairs to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Little Buckland Avenue, Maidstone, on or after 1st June 2026 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the centre of the island at the end of Little Buckland Avenue. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.



Lughorse Lane, Hunton, ME15 0QS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow overhead works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lughorse Lane, Hunton, on or after 19th May 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Lughorse Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lughorse Lane, West Street, Vicarage Road, B2010 Yalding Hill, Lughorse Lane and vice versa.



Wesley Close, Barming, ME16 9JS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow carriageway defect works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wesley Close, Barming, on or after 18th May 2026 for up to 15 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Broomshaw Road, for a distance approximately 20 metres in a South direction. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.
