What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

DARTFORD AREA

Clement Street, Swanley, BR8 7PQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of a new water connection, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Clement Street, Swanley, on or after 19th May 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Northview.

The alternative route is via Arnolds Lane - A225 Hawley Road - B258 Church Hill - B258 High Road - B258 Barn End Lane - B258 Top Dartford Road - Home Hill - Lower Road - Clement Street and vice versa.



Red Street, Southfleet, DA13 9NW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Red Street, Southfleet, on or after 4th June 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Freegrove and The Hay Barn.

The alternative route is via Red Street, Warren Road, Dale Road, Station Road, New Barn Road and vice versa.
