(FOOTPATH NOS. 109401 AND 109402 IN THE CITY OF CARLISLE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that due to the likelihood of danger to pedestrians due to construction works taking place on land adjacent to the footpaths, Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to:
- Prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along the entire length of Public Footpath No. 109401 in the City of Carlisle (between grid references 338948 557496 and 338740 557593): and
- Prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along the entire length of Public Footpath No. 109402 in the City of Carlisle (between grid references 338837 557662 and 338785 557732).
There is no suitable alternative route available for pedestrians. However, Kingmoor Sidings Nature Reserve may be accessed via the permissive path from Kingmoor Road to the north of the development site.

The Order will come into operation on 22 May 2026 and may continue in force for a period of up to six months from that date as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
