ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

(TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

LOW DINSDALE FOOTPATHS 1 AND 4, MIDDLETON ST GEORGE

Darlington Borough Council has made an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily close:

LOW DINSDALE FOOTPATH 1

From a point approximately 65metres west of the western boundary of 22 The Greenway westwards to its end

LOW DINSDALE FOOTPATH 4

From its junction with Burnhope Lane northwards for approximately 160metres to the entrance to the water park

Alternative routes will be signed on site.

The Order is necessary to allow construction of a housing development.

The maximum duration of the temporary closures under this Order is 6 months commencing from 11th May 2026.
