ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC AND CLEARWAY) ORDER 2026

A167 GRANGE ROAD, DARLINGTON

Darlington Borough Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:

1. No stopping at any time (clearway); and

2. the prohibition of the driving of vehicles on A167 GRANGE ROAD

Phase 1 - From the north side of Parkside junction northwards to the northern boundary of 50 Grange Road

Phase 2 – From the northern boundary of 50 Grange Road northwards to its junction with Grange Road Roundabout

An alternative route will be signed via Carmel Road South, Coniscliffe Road and vice versa.

The maximum duration of the temporary restrictions under this Order is 18 months commencing from 22nd June 2026. It is anticipated that Phase 1 will be effective on 23rd and 24th June and Phase 2 on 25th and 26th June for patching works. Resurfacing and road lining works will take place at a later date within the 18 months. The restrictions above shall only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
