CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (ENGLISH STREET, CARLISLE)

(TEMPORARY NO WAITING AT ANY TIME AND NO LOADING/UNLOADING AT ANY TIME TRAFFIC RESTRICTION) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable works to be carried out for the installation of new bollards/cycle stands and seating (“the Works”), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from waiting at any time, on any day and/or from loading and unloading, at any time, on any day (including blue badge holders) along that section of English Street, Carlisle, (south west side) from its junction with White Horse Lane for a distance of 9m in a southerly direction.

The Order will come into operation on 26 May 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required from 26 May 2026 to 19 June 2026, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
