Meyrick Road & West Street, Havant - Temporary No Waiting restrictions due to HGV vehicle turning

What is happening?

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.  
ROADS TO BE RESTRICTED: The roads mentioned below will temporarily have a No Waiting At Any Time implemented for the duration of the works:   Meyrick Road between its junction with West Street and a point approximately 40 Metres South of said junction. West Street between its junction with Meyrick Road and its junction with Brockhampton Road.  
DURATION OF ORDER: from 30th May 2026 for a period of 18 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner.  (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 18 months, and in operation for 24 hours a day).  
The temporary no waiting at any time has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Warde and Burke to allow safe turning spaces for HGV’s accessing the compound at the bottom of Meyrick Road. Warde and Burke will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
