What is happening?

Somerset Council Parish of Rodney Stoke Temporary Closure of The Street

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: The Street - from the junction with Wells Road to the junction with Station Road. A total distance of 395 metres. This Order will enable Kier to carry out drainage works on behalf of Somerset Highways.

The Order becomes effective on 8th May 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 11th May 2026 and last until 22nd May 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 12 days.
