What is happening?

Somerset Council Parish of St. Cuthbert Out Temporary Closure of Stoppers Lane

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Stoppers Lane - from the junction with Glastonbury Road, south-eastwards for a total distance of 37 metres. This Order will enable Openreach to carry out cabling and desilting works.

The Order becomes effective on 8th May 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 13th May 2026 and last until 13th May 2026 between the hours of 09:30 - 15:30 for a total of 6 hours.
