TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Southampton City Council made the above Order on 7th May 2026.

1. The effect of the Order will be to close Woodmill Lane, from its junction with Wessex Lane to its junction with High Road, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00.

2. The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road. These works are carriageway investigations.

3. The alternative route will be via Manor Farm Road, Cobden Bridge, St Denys Road, Thomas Lewis Way, Portswood Road and Wide Lane, Mansbridge Road, Stoneham Way, Thomas Lewis Way, High Road.

4. The Order will come into force on 11th May 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner. It is expected that the works will be complete after 2 nights.
