Bond Road, Southampton - Temporary Road Closure due to Communication Pipe Relay Works

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Southampton City Council made the above Order on 4th May 2026.

1. The effect of the Order will be to close Bond Road from its junction with St Catherine’s Road to its junction with Cobden Heights.

2. The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road. These works are for a comm pipe relay.

3. The alternative route will be Bond Road, Dimond Hill, Thorold Road and St Catherine’s Road.

4. The Order will come into force on 11th May 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner. It is expected that the works will be complete by 15th May 2026.
