Temporary Closure of Footway Between Maple Drive And Rowan Way, Footway between Forest Hill And Rowan Way, Holly Tree Walk and Rowan Way

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Footway Between Maple Drive And Rowan Way (25th May - 6th July 2026) - from the junction with Rowan Way, westwards for a distance of 146 metres; Holly Tree Walk (25th May - 6th July 2026) - from the junction with Rowan Way to the junction with Footway Between Maple Drive And Rowan Way; Footway between Forest Hill And Rowan Way (29th June - 24th July 2026) - for its entire length and Rowan Way (13th July - 31st July 2026) - from the junction with Forest Hill to the junction with Beechwood; and from 61 metres east of the junction with Forest Hill, northwards for a distance of 29 metres. A total distance of 417 metres. This Order will enable Wales & West Utilities to carry out phased gas main replacement works. The Order becomes effective on 22nd May and will remain in force for 6 months for Footway Between Maple Drive And Rowan Way, Footway between Forest Hill And Holly Tree Walk and 18 months for Rowan Way.

The works are expected to commence on 25th May 2026 and last until 31st July 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 68 days.
