Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Section 14(1)(A) And (7) - The A47 Trunk Road (Station Square, Lowestoft, Suffolk) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited(a) has made an Order on the A47 Trunk Road in the County of Suffolk, to enable nearby third-party excavation works to an electrical connection to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to take place over 5 days starting on or after Monday 18 May 2026.
The effect of the Order will be to close for 24 hours daily the parking bays adjacent to the A47 eastbound carriageway known as Station Square from approximately 48 metres southwest from its junction with Commercial Road to 29 metres southwest of that junction, a distance of 19 metres.
The closures (which will not apply to works, emergency service, or traffic officer vehicles) will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
The Order will come into force on 12 May 2026 and may continue in force until the works detailed above have been completed, or for a maximum duration of 18 months, whichever is the earlier.
