NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council (“the Council”) has on 6 May 2026 made the Orders named above under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when they come into operation on 18 May 2026 will:
• Amend the allocation of Resident Visitor Permits allowed within 12 months to make it consistent across all parking zones
• Removes administration charges which are no longer in place.
• Introduces a new 6-hour tariff
• Introduces a new seasonal tariff band for Kings Road, Madeira Drive, Marine Parade (west of Burlington Street), New Steine and south side of Kingsway in Zones R and W
• Update charges as approved by Budget Council on 26 February 2026
A copy of this Notice, the Orders as made and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Orders may be seen online at www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/current-tros.
Any person who wishes to question the validity of any of the Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirements of the Act or of any instrument made under it have not been complied with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
