ASHFORD AREA

(AMENDMENT No.7) ORDER 2026

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

NOTICE is hereby given that the Kent County Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of this order would be to extend the current 40MPH and implement a 50MPH limit on the following road in Biddenden, Ashford:-

HEADCORN ROAD – (1) 40MPH - 40 metres north from its junction with Smarden Road for a distance of 260 metres in a southerly direction. (2) 50MPH – 40 metres north from its junction with Smarden Road for a distance of 443 metres in a northerly direction.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby intends to make the following Order:-

The effect of the named Order will amend the existing waiting restrictions (in this part of the notice DYL’s means double yellow lines) waiting to be prohibited at any time due to the relocation of the crossing point on the following length of roads in Canterbury;

STATION ROAD WEST – (1) On both sides from the junction with St Dunstan’s Street remove the DYL’s for a distance of 32 metres in a north easterly direction and replace with the relocated zebra crossing. (2) On both sides from a point 32 metres north east of its junction with St Dunstan’s Street remove the existing zebra crossing and replace with DYL’s for a distance of 24 metres in a north easterly direction.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

NOTICE is hereby given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), intends to remove and replace some waiting restrictions and to relocate the pedestrian crossing as described in column 1 of Schedule 1 hereto, at the location as described in column 2 of the said Schedule.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby make an Order under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which would be to reduce the current National Speed Limit and to extend the 40MPH speed limit in Boxley, Maidstone on the following length of road:-

NEWNHAM COURT ROAD – On the east lane carriageway from a point 57 metres north of its roundabout with Bearsted Road for a distance of 300 metres in a north easterly direction.

This order was originally advertised as Amendment 15 but due to the recent consolidation order it has been re-numbered as above.

The Order was made on 14 May 2026 and its provisions will come into effect on 15 May 2026.

Notice is given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL under sections under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act hereby propose to make the above named Order:

The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 40mph speed limit on the following length of roads in Badgers Mount, Sevenoaks:

Orpington Bypass – From its junction Badgers Mount Roundabout for a distance of 940 metres in a northerly direction.

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby make the above-named Order under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which would be to: -

The effect of the order would be to reduce the existing 40MPH limit to 30MPH that will be denoted by streetlighting on the following length of road in Faversham, Swale:-

LOVE LANE - For its entire length.

This order was originally advertised as Amendment 13 but due to the recent consolidation order it has been re-numbered as above.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.

(2) On the west side relocate the existing DYLs outside the Lodge and Chapel due to the new kerb layout. (3) On the west side outside 75/89 Love Lane remove the existing DYLs. (4) On the west side on the north kerb junction with Windermere relocate the existing DYLs due to the new kerb layout. (5) On the west side on the south kerb junction with Windermere relocate the existing DYLs due to the new kerb layout and extend them by 18 metres in a southerly direction. (6) On the east side place DYLs from a point opposite the southern boundary of 35 Love Lane to a point opposite the southern boundary of 15 Love Lane. WINDERMERE – On both sides of the junction with Love Lane relocate the existing DYLs due to the new kerb layout. UNNAMED ROAD - On both sides of the junction with Love Lane place DYLs for a distance of 10 metres in a easterly direction.

The Order was made on 14 May 2026 and its provisions will come into effect on 15 May 2026.

(AMENDMENT No.12) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.

The effect of the Order is to introduce no waiting at any time double yellow lines (DYL) on the following length of roads in Milton Regis, Sittingbourne, Swale:-

COURT ROAD – DYL - On both sides of the road at its junction with North Street for a distance of 10 metres in a south easterly direction. FROBISHER CLOSE – DYL - On both sides of the road at its junction with North Street for a distance of 10 metres in a south easterly direction. HAWKINS CLOSE – DYL - On both sides of the road at its junction with North Street for a distance of 10 metres in a south easterly direction. NORTH STREET – DYL - (1) On the north west side from the eastern property boundary of 12 North Road for a distance of 80 metres in a north easterly direction to the entrance of Regis Manor Primary School. (2) On the north west side 62 metres north east from the entrance of Regis Manor Primary School for a distance of 8 metres in a south easterly direction. (3) On the north west side 30 metres east from the eastern boundary of the island outside Milton Regis Primary School for a distance of 20 metres in a north easterly direction. (4) Outside the Regis Manor Primary School around the entire island place double yellow lines at all times and a loading restriction Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm. (5) On its south side to a point 15 metres east and west of its junction with Court Road. (6) On its south side to a point 15 metres east and west of its junction with Frobisher Close. (7) On its south side to a point 15 metres east and west of its junction with Hawkins Close. (8) On the north west side outside Regis Manor Primary School place 20 minute limited waiting bays with no return for 1 hour.

The Order was made on 14 May 2026 and its provisions will come into effect on 15 May 2026.
