Hysbysir drwy hyn fod Cyngor Dinas Casnewydd wedi derbyn awdurdod gan Weinidogion Cymru o dan adran 15(5) o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y’i diwygiwyd gan Ddeddf Traffig Ffyrdd (Cyfyngiadau Dros Dro) 1991) i ymestyn Gorchymyn Cyngor Dinas Casnewydd (Cau Llwybr Troed Dros Dro) (Parc y Coleg, Caerllion, Casnewydd) (Rhif Llwybr Troed 389/22/1) 2025. Daeth y Gorchymyn i rym ar 05 Rhagfyr 2025 a byddai wedi dod i ben ar 04 Mai 2026 ond mae bellach wedi’i ymestyn hyd at a chan gynnwys 04 Tachwedd 2026 neu hyd nes y bydd y gwaith y bwriedir ei wneud wedi’i gwblhau, pa un bynnag ddigwydd yn gyntaf.

Effaith hyn fydd gwahardd unrhyw berson rhag symud ar hyd Llwybr Troed Rhif 389/22/1 am bellter o 0.48 km o Gyfeirnod Grid ST332912 yng St Cadoc’s Close i Gyfeirnod Grid ST336915 yn Ponthir Road. Y rheswm dros wneud y gorchymyn yw hwyluso gwaith adeiladu ar gyfer datblygiad preswyl newydd â chaniatâd ac mae’r estyniad wedi’i gymeradwyo er budd diogelwch y cyhoedd. Mae’r llwybr amgen yn mynd trwy St Cadoc’s Close, Roman Way, Eastfield View, College Glade a Ponthir Road, Caerllion, Casnewydd.

NEWPORT CITY COUNCIL

(COLEG PARC, CAERLEON NEWPORT) (FOOTPATH NUMBER 389/22/1) (TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Newport City Council has received authority from the Welsh Ministers under section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991) for the extension of the Newport City Council (Coleg Parc, Caerleon, Newport) (Footpath Number 389/22/1) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2025. The Order became operative on 05 December 2025 and would have expired on 04 May 2026 but is now extended up to and including 04 November 2026 or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

The effect of which will be to prohibit any person from proceeding along Footpath Number 389/22/1 for a distance of 0.48 km from Grid Reference ST332912 at St Cadoc’s Close to Grid Reference ST336915 at Ponthir Road. The reason for making the order is to facilitate construction work for new permitted residential Development and the extension has been granted in the interest of public safety. The alternative route is via St Cadoc’s Close, Roman Way, Eastfield View, College Glade and Ponthir Road, Caerleon, Newport.
