Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily introduce a 40mph speed restriction on that length of Highlands Hill/Foxhall Road, Mayland in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 160m north east of its junction with Mayland Hill a distance of approximately 750m in a south easterly then north easterly direction. The restriction is scheduled to commence on 1st June 2026 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN014M175897/EN014M175897A – Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pipe renewal works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water.
The Order will come into effect on 14th May 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Kings Road, Southminster) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Kings Road, Southminster in the District of Maldon, from its junction with The Chase for a distance of approximately 55m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th May 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7011001495682 – Cadent Gas Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while connection works are undertaken by Cadent Gas Ltd.
An alternative route is available via Burnham Road, High Street and vice versa (with access only into Kings Road).
The Order came into effect on 30th April 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Lodge Road, Bicknacre) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Lodge Road, Bicknacre in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 400m south west of its junction with Main Road for a distance of approximately 200m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th May 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013321565 – Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water.
An alternative route is available via Lodge Road, Leighams Road, Main Road, Lodge Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 30th April 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Sheepcotes Lane Queenborough Road, Southminster)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
- To temporarily close that length of Sheepcotes Lane, Southminster in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Queenborough Road for a distance of approximately 65m in a north easterly direction.
- To temporarily close that length of Queenborough Road, Southminster in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 60m north east of its junction with North Street for a distance of approximately 50m in a south easterly direction.
These closures are scheduled to commence on 19th May 2026 for 8 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013332169/EN013332169A – Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. These closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water.
An alternative route is available via B1021, High Street (with access only into High Street, Queenborough Road) and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 30th April 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Stock Chase, Heybridge) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Stock Chase, Heybridge in the District of Maldon, from the junction with Colchester Road to both of its ends a total distance of approximately 240m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th May 2026 for 29 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001483864 – Cadent Gas Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent Gas Ltd.
No alternative route is available for this closure.
