Lambeth - Red Route Traffic Order Variation For Electric Vehicle Charging Bays

What is happening?

TRANSPORT FOR LONDON PUBLIC NOTICE

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - The GLA Roads And GLA Side Roads (Lambeth) Red Route Consolidation Traffic Order 2007 Various Roads (Electric Vehicle Charging Points) Variation Order 2026

1. Transport for London hereby gives notice that it intends to make the above named Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The general nature and effect of the Order will be to:
(1) introduce a 6 metre No Stopping At Any Time Except Charging of Electric Vehicles Only max 1 hour no return within 2 hours Bay on the north-west side of the A3 Kennington Park Road outside of No.106 - 112 Kennington Park Road, shortening the existing Parking & Disabled Persons Vehicles Bay by 6 metres at the south-west end;
(2) introduce a 5.5 metre No Stopping At Any Time Except Charging of Electric Vehicles Only max 1 hour no return within 2 hours Bay on the north-east side of the A205 Cavendish Road outside of No. 33 Cavendish Road shortening the existing Parking & Disabled Persons Vehicles Bay by 5.5 metres at the south-east end;
(3) introduce two 5.5 metre No Stopping At Any Time Except Charging of Electric Vehicles Only max 1 hour no return within 2 hours Bay on the west side of A23 Streatham High Road outside of Nos. 90 to 94 Streatham High Road splitting the existing Parking & Disabled Persons Vehicles Bay by 11 metres;
(4) introduce two 6 metre No Stopping At Any Time Except Charging of Electric Vehicles Only max 1 hour no return within 2 hours Bays separated by 3.5 metres No Stopping at any Time restriction (Double Red Lines) on the north-east side of the A203 South Lambeth Road outside Nos. 94 to 105 Victoria Mansions, South Lambeth Road shortening the existing Parking & Disabled Persons Vehicles Bay by 15.5 metres at the south-east end;
(5) introduce two 5.5 metre No Stopping At Any Time Except Charging of Electric Vehicles Only max 1 hour no return within 2 hours Bays separated by 4 metres of No Stopping at any Time restriction (Double Red Lines) on the north-east side of the A203 South Lambeth Road outside Nos. 3A to 6A Victoria House, South Lambeth Road shortening the existing Parking & Disabled Persons Vehicles Bay by 15 metres at the north-west end.

2. The roads which would be affected by the Order are the A203 South Lambeth Road, A205 Cavendish Road, A23 Streatham High Road and the A3 Kennington Park Road in the London Borough of Lambeth.

3. A copy of the Order, a statement of Transport for London’s reasons for the proposals, a map indicating the location and effect of the Order and copies of any Order revoked, suspended or varied by the Order can be inspected by visiting our website at: https://haveyoursay.tfl.gov.uk/tro, and selecting the relevant borough and reference the Traffic Order relates to or by appointment during normal office hours at our office at the address below. 4. All objections and other representations to the proposed Order must be made in writing and must specify the grounds on which they are made. Objections and representations must be sent to Transport for London, Streets Traffic Order Team, Palestra, 197 Blackfriars Road, London, SE1 8NJ or by emailing: trafficordersection@tfl.gov.uk quoting reference: SNO/REGULATION/STOT/JW/TRO/GLA/2026/0233, to arrive before 28th May 2026. Please note due to hybrid working access to post is restricted and requests for documents and confirmation of your objections or representations may be delayed. Objections and other representations may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
