Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Temporary Closing Of Footpath Aldenham 050
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Aldenham 050, from junction with footpath 75 to junction with footpath 52, for an approximate distance of 42m.
Alternative route: along footpath 75, then footpath 13, then using the footway along Stevenage Crescent.

The purpose of the Order is to enable maintenance works to take place.
The section of Footpath will be closed on or after 13 May 2026 for up to 1 day, when signs are in place.

(Temporary Closing Of Sandridgebury Lane, St Albans) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Sandridgebury Lane, St Albans from a point 498m north east of its junction with Valley Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 400m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via: Sandridgebury Lane, A1081 Harpenden Road, Beech Road, B651 (St Albans Road/High Street) and Sandridgebury Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 22 May 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

An alternative route will be via: A1081 (Chequer Street/London Road), B6424 Alma Road and B691 Victoria Street.

(Temporary Closing Of North Common, Redbourn) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of North Common, Redbourn from its junction with Lybury Lane south westwards to its junction with St Marys Close, a distance of approximately 270m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via: North Common, West Common, The Common and Lybury Lane.

The Order is needed to facilitate cricket matches on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 23 May 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The cricket matches are scheduled every Saturday between April and September and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Ox Lane, Harpenden) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Ox Lane, Harpenden from its junction with Jameson Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 40m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via: Ox Lane, Sun Lane, Carlton Road, Stewart Road, Sauncey Avenue and Ox Lane.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-
1. that length of Crabtree Lane, Harpenden from its junction with Milton Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 30m.
An alternative route will be via: Crabtree Lane, Dalkeith Road, B652 Station Road, A1081 St Albans Road, Bull Road, Southdown Road and Crabtree Lane.
2. that length of Milton Road, Harpenden from its junction with Crabtree Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 30m.
An alternative route will be via: Crabtree Lane, Southdown Road, Bull Road, A1081 St Albans Road, B652 Station Road and Milton Road or via Crabtree Lane, Dalkeith Road, B652 Station Road and Milton Road.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing gas main is proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 26 May 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 6 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Various Roads In Potters Crouch And St Albans) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-
1. that length of Blunts Lane, Potters Crouch from its junction with Chiswell Green Lane north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 852m.
An alternative route will be via: Chiswell Green Lane, Furzebushes Lane, Ragged Hall Lane, Potters Crouch Lane, Bedmond Lane, St Albans Lane, Sergehill Lane, Whitehouse Lane and Blunts Lane.
2. that length of Chiswell Green Lane, St Albans from its junction with Blunts Lane north eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards to its westernmost junction with Noke Lane, a distance of approximately 318m.
An alternative route will be via: Blunts Lane, Whitehouse Lane, Sergehill Lane, St Albans Lane, Bedmond Lane, Potters Crouch Lane, Ragged Hall Lane, Furzebushes Lane and Chiswell Green Lane.
3. that length of Blunts Lane, Potters Crouch from its junction with Chiswell Green Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 15m.
An alternative route will be via: Chiswell Green Lane, Furzebushes Lane, Ragged Hall Lane, Potters Crouch Lane and Blunts Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 11 May 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 2 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using that length of Queen Street, St Albans from its junction with Spicer Street north westwards and north eastwards to a point in line with the southern boundary of No.13 Queen Street, a distance of approximately 58m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via: Spicer Street, Romeland Hill, Welclose Street, Lower Dagnall Street and Queen Street.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 14 May 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the road.
