Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Hampton Gay Village Street

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 5 May 2026

Coming into force: 11 May 2026

This Order is being introduced because of fibre cabling installation works which are anticipated to be completed 22 May 2026. This will operate between 08:00 and 18:00. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the whole length of Hampton Gay Village Street to Manor Farm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Access will be maintained for cyclists and pedestrians. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Middle Aston, Fir Lane

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 5 May 2026

Coming into force: 11 May 2026

This Order is being introduced because of installation on behalf of Thames Water works which are anticipated to be completed 29 May 2026. This is a 24 hour daily road closure. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in Fir Lane between the access to Middle Aston House and Lakeside Farm Business Park. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Access will be maintained for cyclists and pedestrians. The alternative route for traffic is via Middle Aston Lane – Middle Aston Road – Somerton Road – A4260 – North Side and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.

Hampton Gay and Poyle, Footpath 237/9 – Closure

Date of closure: 19 November 2025

Date of Order: 1/12/2025

Coming into force: 9/12/2025

This Order was introduced because of an unauthorised waste deposit site affecting the public right of way. Access and clearance works are being undertaken but the anticipated timescale is uncertain due to adverse environmental conditions. The effect of the Order is to close temporarily the section of the Footpath No. 237/9 from Bicester Road, Gosford to the East side of the A34. Exemptions are included for emergency services, for works and for pedestrian access to property which is only accessible from the closed section of footpath. There is no alternative route for the closure. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. The order with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport will remain in force until 31 December 2026 or until the works are complete, whichever is the sooner.
