Alternative route via light vehicles via A346 (unaffected length) – B3087 – A345 – A4 – A346 (unaffected length) and vice versa. Alternative route HGV via A346 (unaffected length) – A338 – A342 – A361 – A4 – A346 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 12 December 2025 will now recommence on 15 May 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 for 5 nights. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to temporarily introduce a 30mph speed restriction on the following length of road: C86 (Part), Hullavington; for a distance of approximately 400m either side of the railway crossing to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out railway embankment works. The speed restrictions will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This speed limit restrictions will come into operation on 11 May 2026 and will be required until 31 October 2026. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all users: A) Footpath 7 (Part), Urchfont; from its junction with Footpath 16, Urchfont to its junction with Footpath 1, Urchfont. B) Footpath 7 (Part), Urchfont; from its junction with Peppercombe Close to its junction with Footpath 16, Urchfont. C) Footpath 15 (Part), Urchfont; from its junction with Footpath 7, Urchfont to its junction with Footpath 1, Urchfont. D) Footpath 16, Urchfont; from its junction with Footpath 46, Urchfont to its junction with Footpath 7, Urchfont to enable the closures necessary to facilitate upgrades within Urchfont Water Recycling Centre (WRC) and for Wessex Water to carry out its responsibilities as a statutory undertaker. The works will involve erecting a pole for overhead cables and installing a Mains distribution Panel. A temporary compound will be needed adjoining the works. For the purposes of ensuring public safety, Wessex Water deems it necessary to close the public rights of way listed above to prevent risk of harm or injury to members of the public from construction traffic and vehicles travelling to the site or from the compound to the WRC. Alternative route via Footpath 46, Urchfont – Footpath 8, Urchfont – Footpath 1, Urchfont – Footpath 6, Urchfont – Footpath 5, Urchfont – Peppercombe Lane and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 01 June 2026 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 30 November 2026. Closures A) and D) will be required 24 hours a day. Closures B) and C) will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 17:30 Monday to Friday. This Order will come into operation on 01 June 2026 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 19 June 2026. Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 to amend the Chippenham and Chippenham Without Consolidation Order 2025 by revoking Map Schedule No. CS39 dated 4 July 2025 and replacing it with revised Map Schedule No. CS39 and to introduce new Map Schedule No. CP37 the effect of which will be as follows: a) To introduce No Waiting at any time on Hardenhuish Lane – east side – from a point at 54 metres north of its junction with The Exit Road from Hardenhuish School for a distance of 22 metres in a northerly direction; b) To introduce Loading Only 8am–6pm 30 minutes No return within 1 hour, for administrative purposes only with no changes to be made on the ground, on Station Hill – north west side – from a point 25 metres north east of its junction with New Road for a distance of 20 metres in a north easterly direction. The above order, made on 27 April 2026, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, will divert Footpath Woodborough 8 (part) situated at Old Station House, Woodborough. That entire width and length of Woodborough 8 shown leading from OSGR SU 1078-5993, in a broadly south westerly direction for approximately 34m to road C38, at OSGR SU 1075-5991, to a new route at OSGR SU 1078-5993 in a broadly northerly, then westerly, then southerly direction for approximately 62m to road C38, at OSGR SU 1075-5991, the path having a width of 2m. And thereupon the Pewsey Rural District Council Area Definitive Map dated 1952 shall be modified accordingly.
