What is happening?

TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 20--


NOTICE is given that Sunderland City Council propose to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 33, 35 and 122 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, by virtue of the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act. The effect of the proposed order will be to: (i) introduce paid for parking places in the Bonners Field area, charges will be applicable all days except Christmas day and for all hours at a charge of 80p per hour or part thereof or £3.50 per day as set out in schedule 1 below; and (ii) introduce no waiting of any time prohibitions as set out in schedule 2 below. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order may be inspected during normal opening hours at City Hall, Plater Way, Sunderland SR1 3AA, until six weeks have elapsed from the date on which the Order is made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to proceed to make the Order. on or before the 29th May 2026 and any objection must state the grounds on which it is made. Please quote reference: PB/83220 in all correspondence. Schedule 1 Pay By Phone Parking All Days And All Hours Bonners Field (i) the north side from a point 28.2metres west of the extended property boundary of 10-13 Bonners Field, for a distance of 27.0 metres in a westerly direction; and (ii) the north side from a point 5.9 metres west of the extended property boundary of 10-13 Bonners Field, for a distance of 53.9 metres in an easterly direction. Schedule 2 No Waiting At Any Time Bonners Field (i) the north side from a point 5.9 metres west of the extended eastern property boundary of 10-13 Bonners Field, for a distance of 22.3 metres in a westerly direction.
