THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(TAME STREET) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton
City Council have made an Order under Section
14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary
Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from
proceeding on Tame Street at its junction with Oxford
Street.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of
eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will
be undertaken on 12th May 2026, between the hours
of 09:30 and 15:30.
The diversion route is: Bissell Street, Gozzard Street,
Oxford Street & vice versa.
The Order is required to facilitate works to
repair/replace a defective frame and cover by Severn
Trent Water.
