This order continues in force a footpath closure by emergency notice on 8 December 2025 because of construction of a new road. The work and closure is continuing as a notice of order expected to be ended on 8 May 2026. But the closure is now extended till 8 November 2027. The effect of the Order is to close temporarily parts of footpath Nos.171/6/10 & 171/4/10 that led to the west of the B5015 Oxford Road. Limited access will be maintained for emergency services and for frontages within the closed section of path, subject to the progress of the works. The alternative routes for the public are advised to use the Abingdon Road (A415) and Oxford Road (B4015). This Order remains in force initially for 6 months and now extended with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport for 18 months till 8 November 2027.
