CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL

(SPEED LIMIT) (NO.1) ORDER 2026

106261 WOODHOUSE, KEIGHLEY

NOTICE is hereby given that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council made the above Order on 5 May 2026 under their powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the general effect of which is to introduce a 20mph speed limit zone comprising various lengths of roads in Woodhouse, Keighley as follows:

1. a 20mph limit on the full lengths of New England Road, Alma Terrace, Denby Road, Crag Place, Woodhouse Drive, Woodhouse Avenue, Woodhouse Grove, Woodhouse Close, Woodhouse Walk, Woodhouse Way, Ash Tree Close, Beech Tree Close, Hawthorn Close, Kirkstall Gardens, Dawson Road, Dawson Way, and Dawson Place; and

2. a 20mph limit on the length of Woodhouse Road from its junction with South Street to a point 7m east of its junction with Crag Place; and

3. a 20mph limit on the length of Hainworth Road from its junction with Woodhouse Road for a distance of 140m in a south-westerly direction.

The Order comes into force on 8 May 2026. A copy of the Order together with documents giving more detailed particulars may be examined during normal office hours at the Customer Services Reception, Ground Floor, City Hall, Bradford, BD1 1HY and Keighley Town Hall, Bow Street, Keighley, BD21 3PA; or examined on the Council's website at https://www.bradford.gov.uk/transport-and-travel/highways/traffic-regulation-order; or obtained from Ayatt Abayes, Assistant Engineer – Dept of Growth, by email ayatt.abayes@bradford.gov.uk quoting reference number 106261/CON-1A.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any Instrument made under it, have not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the date upon which the Order was made (i.e. 5 May 2026) apply to the High Court for this purpose.
