What is happening?

(Worth: Crawley Down) (Hophurst Lane)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Hophurst Lane in Crawley Down from a point 385M east of its junction with Burleigh Way, eastwards for 85M. The road closure is needed to allow a utilities inspection chamber to be replaced in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 26 May 2026 and remain in force until 1 June 2026. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Burgess Hill: Dumbrells Farm Way (A2300))
(Temporary Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Dumbrells Farm Way (A2300) in Burgess Hill from Jane Murray Way to West End Farm Avenue.

The road closure is needed to allow new watermains to be installed in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 25 May 2026 and remain in force until 3 June 2026. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.
