Denton Bridge - Temporary Road Closure Due To Telecommunication Works

CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL

DENTON BRIDGE, ILKLEY

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of telecommunication works proposed to be executed on or near Denton Bridge, Ilkley intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Denton Bridge from its junction with Leeds Road/ Coutances Way to its junction with Denton Road.

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available via Leeds Road, New Brook Street, Middleton Avenue, Denton Road and vice versa.

The proposed Order will come into effect at 20:00 hours on the 20th of May 2026 and remain in force until 23:59 hours on the 22nd of May 2026 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
