Hill Top Road - Temporary Road Closure Due To Telecommunication Works

CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL

HILL TOP ROAD, THORNTON

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of telecommunication works proposed to be executed on or near Hill Top Road, Thornton intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Hill Top Road from its junction with West Lane to a point outside No.46 Hill Top Road.

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available via Hill Top Road (unaffected section), West Lane, Lower Heights Road, Rock Lane, Back Heights Road, Half Acre Road and vice versa.

The proposed Order will come into effect at 08:00 hours on the 18?? May 2026 and remain in force until 17:00 hours on the 22n? May 2026 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
