Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Hook Norton, Tadmarton Heath Road/Oatley Hill
Prohibition of Through Traffic and Waiting
Date of Order: 4 May 2026
Coming into force: 7 May 2026
This Order is being introduced because of road resurfacing works which are to be completed 5 June 2026. This is a 24 hour daily road closure. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in the length of Tadmarton Heath Road/Oatley Hill, between the crossroads at The Firs and the junction with Traitors Ford Lane at the county boundary. Access will be maintained for cyclists and pedestrians. The alternative route for traffic is from the Firs Crossroads to head south to Hook Norton, to turn south along Chipping Norton Road, following it around to head west along Hook Norton Road to enter Great Rollright village, to turn back north along the Whichford Road turning to the road closure, and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T17544/RMF)
