ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –
SECTION 14
(WENTBRIDGE LANE, WENTBRIDGE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 139) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for BT pole testing to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Wentbridge Lane, Wentbridge, approximately 200 metres from Wentvale Court. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Wentbridge Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Great North Road, Moor Lane, Carlton Road, Hardwick Road, Doncaster Road, Wentbridge Lane & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 14th May 2026 between 09.30 hours to 15.30 hours, clear at all other times, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(CAMP MOUNT, PONTEFRACT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 140) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for highway defect to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Camp Mount, Pontefract, approximately 30 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Camp Mount.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Camp Mount, Hardistry Drive, Halfpenny Lane & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 11th May 2026 to 12th May 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(DONCASTER ROAD A638, ACKWORTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 142) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to install a new pedestrian island in the carriageway to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Doncaster Road A638, Ackworth from Ackworth Moor Top roundabout to Doncaster Road estate. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Doncaster Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Royd Moor Lane, Hemsworth Bypass, Pontefract Road, Barnsley Road & vice versa. Access for over height vehicles requiring access to businesses Ackworth side of the low bridge will be maintained.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 11th May 2026 to 18th May 2026, 09.30 hours to 15.30 hours, open at all times or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(BARNSLEY ROAD, HEMSWORTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 144) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to install new gas supply to new build properties to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Barnsley Road, Hemsworth one way closure from the junction with Market Street for approximately 200 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Barnsley Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Market Street, Southmoor Road, Hemsworth Bypass, Barnsley Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 9th May 2026 to 14th May 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
