TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2026
CHANTRY AVENUE, KEMPSTON 26 – 014

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Chantry Avenue, Kempston outside 71.

This temporary road closure is required to REMEDIAL REINSTATEMENT Dig out and relay 2m x 1.2m 10mm SMA Carriageway and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 08:00 - 16:00 hours from 20th May 2026 to 22nd May 2026

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Chantry Avenue, Chantry Road, Orchard Street, Eaton Road, The Briars.

The reverse route applies.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Thurleigh Road, Milton Ernest between Twinwoods Park and A6 Rushden Road including Marsh Lane, Church Green, Church Close Bellmouth.

This temporary road closure is required to resurfacing of carriageway and repair/ replacement of speed tables, replacement of damaged kerbs and Ironworks, Reinstatement of road markings and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation
08:00 to 18:00 hours from 21st May 2026 to 22nd May 2026
09:00 to 15:30 hours from 26th May 2026 to 10th June 2026

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Rushden Road, C26 Bletsoe From A6 Rushden Road Sharnbrook To Uc33 Mill Road Thurleigh, Thurleigh Road.

The reverse route applies.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Manor Road, Biddenham This temporary road closure is required to replace approx, 30m of 6” si with 125mm and any associated services and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours from 18th May 2026 to 26th June 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Manor Road, Kempston Hardwick.

This temporary road closure is required to for a signal and telecommunications inspection, cil inspection, resin repairs and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 23:00 to 11:00 hours from 23rd May 2026 to 24th May 2026

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Woburn Road, Marston Bypass, Bedford Road, Station Road, Station Lane, Sandhill Close, Millbrook Road, Ampthill Road, Manor Road.

The reverse route applies.
