CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (C2001 GILCRUX AND U2085 OUGHTERSIDE) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:

1. C2001 Gilcrux, from its junction with the C2023, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 190m

   Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the C2001, C2023, U2085 and U2086 Arkleby.

   Duration: From 4 June 2026 for approx. 2 days between 0800 and 1800 hours (Ref: TTROC/18281)

2. U2085 Well Road, Oughterside, from a point adjacent to the property known as Ghyllbeck House, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 70m.

   There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.

   Duration: 11 June 2026 between 0800 and 1800 hours (Ref: TTROC/18333)

3. U2085 Oughterside, from a point adjacent to the property known as Ellendale, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 60m.

   Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U2085, C2023 and A596.

   Duration: 12 June 2026 between 0800 and 1800 hours (Ref: TTROC/18336)

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times

The Order will come into operation on 4 June 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
