Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough has made an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2026 –
Manor Road, Sutton Ref: 27-058
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Manor Road, Sutton, at Manor Farm. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Nene Road, Graeme Road and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 13/05/2026 and will continue until the communication pipe repair works have been completed or until the 12/05/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 13/05/2026 and the 15/05/2026. The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2026 –
King Street, Lolham, Maxey Ref: 27-029
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as King Street, Lolham, Maxey as lies between points 20 metres either side of Bainton Green Level Crossing. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: via High Street, Maxey Road, A15, Helpston Road, Glinton Road, West Street and King Street. The proposed Order will come into force on the 10/05/2026 and will continue until the railway level crossing maintenance works have been completed or until the 11/05/2027, whichever is the earlier. Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2026. Ref: 27-039
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the roads as outlined in the schedule below:

Vehicular access on to the course shall be prohibited at all the side roads joining the route whilst the route remains closed. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via: B1443 Stamford Rd, Bainton Rd, Station Rd, Barnack Rd, Helpston Rd, King St, Langley Bush Rd, Sutton Heath Rd, A47, A1 and vice versa. The proposed Order will come into force on Sunday 10th May 2026 only from 06:00am to 12:30pm and is at the request of Chevron TM for the purposes of the Burghley Triathlon 2026. The Council is satisfied that the length of road that is the subject of this Order is liable to be obstructed during the Burghley Triathlon 2026 Event between the above times only. The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2026 –
Saxon Road Ref: 27-037
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Saxon Road, as lies between Norman Road and Flag Fen Road, southbound only. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Norman Road, Park Lane, Padholme Road and Saxon Road. The proposed order will come into force on the 11/05/2026 and will continue until the slab replacement works have been completed or until the 10/05/2027, whichever is the earlier. The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Glinton Road, Helpston as lies between points 20 metres either side of Helpston Level Crossing. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: via Glinton Rd, Maxey Rd, Helpston, Maxey Road, Maxey, High Street, Maxey Road, Northborough, A15, Helpston Road, Glinton, Helpston Road, Etton and vice versa. The proposed Order will come into force on the 16/05/2026 and will continue until the railway level crossing maintenance works have been completed or until the 15/05/2027, whichever is the earlier. – Occupation Road Ref: 27-069
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Occupation Road, as lies between Gladstone Street and Lincoln Road. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Gladstone Street, Searjeant Street, Lincoln Road and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 18/05/2026 and will continue until the rigging and pole swap works have been completed or until the 17/05/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 18/05/2026 and the 20/05/2026. Towler Street Ref: 27-070
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Towler Street, as lies between number 6 Towler Street and St Marks Street. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: 1) St Marks Street, Church Walk, Lincoln Road, Burghley Road and 2) Burghley Road, St Marks Street. The proposed order will come into force on the 20/05/2026 and will continue until the leak repair works have been completed or until the 19/05/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 20/05/2026 and the 24/05/2026. Helpston Road, Ailsworth Ref: 27-053
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Helpston Road, Ailsworth, as lies between Main Street and Maffit Road. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Helpston Road, Main Street, Peterborough Road, Marholm Road, Castor Road (Marholm), Stamford Road, Castor Road (Helpston), Helpston Road and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 19/05/2026 and will continue until the blockage clearance works have been completed or until the 18/05/2027, whichever is the earlier. The City of Peterborough Paston Parkway Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended
by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991
(Temporary Restriction of Through Traffic) Notice 27-067 2026 Ref: 27-067
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Paston Parkway, junction 20 westbound off slip for it’s entire length. Access will be maintained to properties affected by this Notice. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: A15 westbound, leave at J21, rejoint A15 eastbound, leave J20. This notice is made in the interest of traffic signal works and will remain effective for no more than 5 days from 11/05/2026. The Notice shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which it is made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or any person acting with permission or upon the direction of a police Officer in uniform.
