U5032 Cockley Beck, Seathwaite, Broughton-in-Furness - Temporary Traffic Regulation Order for road closure due to cattle grid replacement works

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (U5032 COCKLEY BECK, SEATHWAITE) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable cattle grid replacement works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the U5032 Cockley Beck, Seathwaite, from its junction with the U5032, extending in a southerly direction for approx. 25 metres.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.

The Order will come into operation on 11th May 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 2 weeks and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
