Temporary Closure of Castle Hill

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Castle Hill - from 63 metres south-west of the junction with Rainsbury Hill, south-westwards for a total distance of 192 metres. This Order will enable Barr Engineering Services Limited to replace a pole on behalf of Openreach.

The Order becomes effective on 7th May 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 12th May 2026 and last until 12th May 2026 between the hours of 08:00 - 18:00 for a total of 10 hours.
