Wiltshire - Multiple Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Devizes Road (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with A36 for a distance of approximately 100m in a north westerly direction to enable National Highways Limited to carry out National Highways technology upgrade scheme and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 01 June 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 until 04 June 2026. B) C329 (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with Great Western Road to its junction with A36 to enable National Highways Limited to carry out National Highways technology upgrade scheme and associated works. Alternative route via A36 – A338 – C369 – C329 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 05 June 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 until 09 June 2026. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: C) C293 (Part), Allington; from its property known as Belvoir for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction to enable Wessex Water Services Limited to carry out mains leak, interim to perm reinstatement. Alternative route via C293 (unaffected length) – A338 – Wyndham Lane and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 11 May 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 13:30 for 1 day. E) C336 (Part), Downton; from its junction with B3080 for a distance of approximately 70m in a northerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out cable recovery and associated works. Alternative route D via B3080 (unaffected length) – A338 – B3078 – B3080 (unaffected length) and vice versa. Alternative route E via C336 (unaffected length) – C324 – A36 – A338 – B3080 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 11 May 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until 14 May 2026. Alternative route via Duck Street (unaffected length) – C10 – C283 – A36 – C338 – Duck Street (unaffected length) and vice versa. G) Pollen Lane (Part), Figheldean; from its junction with High Street to its junction with Oak Lane to enable Wessex Water to carry out water main and associated works. Alternative route via Pollen Lane (unaffected length) – Milston Road – Church Lane – High Street and vice versa. H) Quavoy Road, Redlynch; from its junction with Goggs Lane to its junction with Princes Hill. I) Princes Hill, Redlynch; from its junction with Quavoy Road to its junction with Bowers Hill. J) The Row (Part), Redlynch; from its junction with Bowers Hill for a distance of approximately 50m in a northerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out cable recovery and associated works. Alternative route H/I via School Road – Vicarage Road – Timberley Lane – Grove Lane and vice versa. Alternative route J via The Row (unaffected length) – Muddyford Road – B3080 – Bowers Hill and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 08 January 2026 will now recommence on 12 May 2026 and the closure will be required for 4 days. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
