What is happening?

CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (C2003 CROSBY VILLA AND C4006 NEAR DEAN)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:

    1. C2003 Crosby Villa, from its junction with Lonsdale Close, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 60m.

      Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C2003, C2023, Gilcrux, C2001, C2024 and A596.

      Duration: From 14 May 2026 for approx. 1 day between 0930 and 1700 hours (Ref: TTROC/17955)

  1. C4006 near Dean, from its junction with the U2333 Browning Brow, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 80m.

    Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C4006, A5086 and C2030 Ullock.

    Duration: From 15 May 2026 for approx. 1 day between 0930 and 1700 hours (Ref: TTROC/17998)

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times

The Order will come into operation on 14 May 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
