Butterwick: Girls School Lane and Butterwick Road - Prohibition of Waiting

LINCOLNSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(BUTTERWICK – GIRLS SCHOOL LANE & BUTTERWICK ROAD)
(PROHIBITION OF WAITING) AMENDMENT ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lincolnshire County Council has made an Order under their powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to introduce.

•  No Waiting at Any Time on the junctions of Pinchbeck Road and Girls School Lane

•  Mandatory school keep clear markings in the vicinity of the school Mon-Fri 8am-9.30am and 2.30pm-4pm.

•  No Waiting Mon-Fri 8am-9.30am and 2.30pm-4pm on the south side of Butterwick Road

•  Bus Stop Clearways – The clearway will ensure unrestricted access for scheduled bus services by prohibiting the stopping, waiting and loading of any vehicle except a bus. The clearways will be in operation between the hours of 6.30am to 8pm Monday to Saturday.

Exemptions are included on the no waiting restrictions which will permit waiting for disabled persons’ vehicles and for the purpose of picking up or setting down passengers, loading or unloading of goods, the maintenance of the roads, and works in connection with the supply of gas, electricity, water and telecommunications apparatus.

The Order will come into operation on 8th May 2026 and a copy of the Order and a plan showing the lengths of road concerned with a Statement of Reasons can be requested.

Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may within 6 weeks after 1st May 2026 make application to the High Court for this purpose.
