(Temporary Prohibition of all Traffic, No Right/Left Turn) - Order Events/2026/156

NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council has made an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic Regulation (Special Events) Act 1994, the effect of which is to restrict traffic on the roads listed in Schedule 1.

The Order will be effective, for facilitating the Newmarket Half Marathon Event, when signs are in place indicating the restrictions on any or all of roads listed. The Proposed Order will come into operation on 31st May for 1 day.

Nothing in this Order shall apply so as to prevent the passage of any vehicle being used by any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform or of a Civil Enforcement Officer.
