(KINGFISHER BOULEVARD AND SCOTSWOOD ROAD AREA) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
1. 1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 30 April 2026 the Council of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicular traffic to proceed:
i) On Kingfisher Boulevard, Greenfinch Way and Goldcrest Way for their entire lengths;
ii) Eastbound on the A6085 from its junction with Lemington Road to its junction with the A191;
iii) Westbound on the A6085 from its junction with the A191 to its junction with Neptune Road.
2. The alternative route for traffic will be signed on site as required.
3. The order is required to allow works to be carried out on or near the highway.
4. Exemptions will be provided for vehicles engaged in the said works and police, fire brigade and ambulance vehicles on emergency call.
5. The Order will come into operation on 14 May 2026 and will continue, as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, up to 9 August 2026 or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
