TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC 149780703 : The City of Manchester (Sandilands Road, Brooklands Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Sandilands Road. The alternative routes for traffic will be: (1) Altrincham Road, Ferndown Road, Chesterton Road, Wendover Road (2) Wendover Road, Brooklands Road, Altrincham Road. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate gas main replacement works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 11th May 2026 to the 22nd May 2026. The order shall come into operation on the 11th May 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
