(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Blackpool Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers to carry out maintenance and repairs to the bridge structure. The effect of the Order will be to:
a. Prohibit all vehicles from entering or proceeding in any direction along the length of Hawes Side Lane for approximately 91 metres from St Christopher's Church to 174 and 253 Hawes Side Lane.
b. No Person shall cause or permit any vehicle at any time to turn left onto Hawes Side Lane from St Christopher’s Church car park.
Pedestrian access to premises will be maintained at all times.
Vehicular access: limited access will be maintained for: a. Vehicles being used in connection with the works.
All diversion routes will be clearly signed and maintained on site.
The proposed Order will commence on 26 May 2026 and continue in force for eighteen months or until the sooner completion of the aforesaid works. It is expected that the works will take 46 days.
